My sweet baby, how did you become 2 already? It seems like just yesterday my Dad was rescuing me and whisking me to the hospital. You were late but when you decided to make your arrival it was fast and furious. Luckily we made it and got settled in, barely! Then, I met you. All 9 lbs. and 1 oz.! You were such a content and easy baby as long as you were nursed and cuddled you were good to go.

Here were are, at 2 years. It makes me sad to watch you grow yet proud of you and all you can do. You are my little talker and are doing so well at that. You are bold and stubborn and determined. You are a dare devil and you are michievous. You get angry quickly and get over it quickly. You are happy go lucky most of the time. Not worried and soaking up the fun. You are the exact opposite of your brother. You amaze me and these are the things that make me smile right now and that I want to remember:

1. When you say I love you Mama and you pull me away by my finger with your grip on me to get you something (usually food, hah). I can hear you now shouting treat, treat.

2. The way you hug me when I carry you. I know you won’t be carried much longer. You already want to walk in parking lots and get upset. However, you won’t hold our hands so you are still getting carried and secretly I adore it because you are my baby for just a bit longer, even though you are heavy=).

3. The way you call the dogs and your brother “Dink, where are you? and Boo, where are you?” You love animals and adore our dogs. I think you and Shelby have a love/hate relationship but you do give her food. You giggle anytime you see a dog.

4. The way you adore your brother and look up to him. You copy things he does but you also try to get the best of him. That can be entertaining even though it usually starts a little wrestling match. You are tough and usually make him completely frustrated. He looks out for you and I know you two will be best of friends. I am so glad you have each other as life partners.

5. Your sweet little grin and how every time I make a  meal you come running and climb up on your bar stool. I want to etch those moments into my memory. That makes you so happy! I love to watch you. You are an explorer and like to experience anything new.

6. The way you adore your Daddy. Sometimes it hurts a bit at how much of a Daddy’s boy you are but oh what could be better than having that love and affection he gives you. You and your brother are lucky to have such a good Father and I am lucky to have him as a Husband and to be able to watch our family relationships.

Levi I love everything little thing that you are. I am amazed that I could create such little perfect boys. I am definitely blessed more than I deserve. Truly a gift from God you both are that humble me each and every day.
