Memorial Day was spent at my Uncle Tom’s pool, as always. Grilling chicken and hot dogs and everyone bringing a ton of other delicious food. It wouldn’t be complete without Grandma’s potato salad. You can’t even understand how good her potato salad is unless you have had it. I’m willing to share the recipe, although you’ll have to perfect it just like I did because it’s one of those good ol’ southern recipes where you put some of this and that and a pinch and smidge. You have to use Duke’s though. Are you with me Southerner’s? A good time was had by all and SHOCKER John Michael decided he wanted his picture taken for once. So here he is, little poser. This just proves what I always say, “You don’t need an elaborate spot for good photos. You need good light, a little fun and people just being themselves and HAPPY!!!” Finally, not to overlook the meaning of this day of rememberence, thank you to all our troops and those who have served. Past, present or future. Freedom isn’t free.
