HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY | LENOIR, NC CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER

Just  a few shots of my boys doing what they do! We are hanging out at home this Valentine’s Day and enjoying each other’s company. We’ll probably play some truck games and I KNOW we are going to be making some cookies and more treats inspired by Pinterest. I tried the marshmallows on a stick dipped in melted chocolate and coated with sprinkles. They are treats for my oldest’s pre-school class party tomorrow and we also picked up all the supplies to make chocolate hearts on a stick. So we’ll be indulging in chocolatey goodness today followed by a special dinner for my Husband.

I have to give a big shout out to him for supporting me the past month while I have made huge investments and  hopefully strides toward my 2012 goals. He believes in me and that feels good. I am taking major leaps forward with some fear and a large amount of faith. I’m changing my business structure and investing in the forms of branding (you’ve see that already) and equipment (holla for my new Canon 5D Mark II aka. Mark Daddy and a new lens added to my bag, the 85 mm 1.8). Don’t worry sweet 60D you’ll still serve me as a back-up. A used 430 EX (thanks to a fellow Clickin Mom) is also on the way along with Niel Van Nierk’s book about On Camera Flash. I’ll tackle off camera next. Shew, I think I can lay off the gear already for a while!

Next up from me (hopefully because I can change my mind and decide to go a different direction on a whim) is:

1. A tutorial on back button focus, I hope this can be useful for anyone confused by it as I so sorely was until I recently put some serious effort into really getting it. Putting it into practice at a fast paced session may be another thing but it’s in my bag of tricks!

2. 2013 Senior Modeling Call!!! PLEASE if anyone knows a rising 2013 Senior send them my way, major rewards apply!!! Now is the time to start Senior sessions. A publication with the details is coming! Also, if you are a business or organization that works with Seniors or if you know of one, let’s talk. I have some partnership ideas that just need a good platform to be put into action. Hey guys, I’m not too proud to ask for help on getting the word out. It’s how I succeed.
