CAPTURING THE SOUL, FROM THE HEART | HICKORY, NC CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHER

Last week I decided I needed to shoot for me, creatively. In a way that showcased my boys just as they are. Just me following them around and throwing in a few things they love. We hopped in the van and went down our dirt road to a little open green area. It was overcast so we will be going back again to harness the light but I just needed to do this that day. I had an overwhelming urge to create through my lens and freeze a few moments with them.

We also enjoyed some creek play. They loved that and when we got back their Daddy was home so that just topped off the little adventure even more. Love these boys. This is where my love for photography started and it felt good to come back to the root of it. Simple, pure boys doing what they do with their Mom documenting it.

And yes I couldn’t choose so you may be scrolling a bit if you decide to look =). I have a few more ideas up my sleeve for them in the future too but I’ll try to wait a while before spamming my blog again with my own children, haha!
