Erin and Will were wed a few weeks ago at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Hickory, NC and their reception was held at The Crossing, Hollar Mill. First things first, as they say, this couple is completely adorable and genuinely kind. I felt so welcomed in the bridal suite at the church with all 8 of Erin’s bridesmaids. I can tell there is a close bond between all of them and with Will and his groomsmen. There is a comfort with Erin and Will that I could sense. As events unfolded throughout the day, we learned that Will’s sister was babysat by Erin. She even carried a sign that said “she was my friend first” which was completely hilarious and adorable. So much love surrounding them. One of my favorite images from their wedding day is when they were prayed over by their ministers. If we could all only be prayed over like that every day of our marriage!
After the wedding it rained a bit but we made it work and it quickly cleared into a nice evening. This reception was EPIC ya’ll! Seriously, Hollar Mill always brings the beauty and ambiance but the band, The Extraordinaires, made it show stopping!!! The horns were amazing, the lights, the music, the song choices, the non-stop action, the saxaphone, THE PARTY, whoa! Crazy fun for guests and lots of fun for me to photograph. They also had a smores bar late night which was unique and had significance to both Erin and Will’s time spent in scouts growing up. The table seating and center pieces were a tribute to things they loved and told their story as well. I know lots of reception pictures are shared here but, wow, I could share more and more. I think I even shared different ones on Facebook. There were so many that captured the action and the joy of the evening. I know you all will have an amazing, fun and LOVE filled life together!
MAJOR kudos and thanks, as always, to my awesome assistant at this wedding … Melissa Biggers!
