I am doing some blogging catching up and with all this rain we have had this session may look like it took place during some of it, but nope! It was earlier in the Summer when I met Mary Beth and Matt in Boone, NC for their engagement session. They were adventurous and wanted to go for it even though we were dodging evening rain storms. It’s sort of always like that in the NC mountains so I don’t really blame them. They know their home and know the weather.
I love the foggy skies giving their session a romantic feel. They also helped keep lots of that beautiful mountain definition in the sky. We shot on game lands outside of town with rolling fields of wild flowers. Their dog Wyatt came along and was content exploring, not wanting that much to do with us since he had his own agenda. This land is close to where the couple used to live and a spot they like to hike. It’s so special to incorporate meaningful locations into sessions and I could tell they were at home here. After we finished at the crest of the hill they suggested moving down the road to a spot we had passed on the way up because it was a good area to get some sunset sky in. By that time it was drizzling and getting dim but we quickly grabbed a few with some pretty light on them.
I still have Mary Beth’s bridals to show of and their wedding, both at Brown Mountain Beach Resort so stay tuned for those soon.
