I had the honor of photographing Victoria and Ken’s intimate wedding ceremony at a private cabin at Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Wilkes, NC. The cabin y’all, it was amazing! There were bronze horse, moose and elk sculptures alongside beautiful woodwork and even a lit staircase with metal art. Truly a masterpiece tucked in this mountain resort get away. The views were spectacular and the fall foliage was gorgeous despite a bit of rain. It did break for a bit just after the ceremony so we could get a few from the deck overlook.
Victoria’s plan was to get married on the deck but oh how cozy it was when the rain called for the ceremony to be moved indoors in front of the fireplace. The fire created such warmth and a welcoming feeling for their family to gather around. The couple wanted an intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends and this was the perfect backdrop to suit the occasion. I love these types of ceremonies. I always leave feeling like family! This family is full of excellent cooks and they made dinner in the gourmet kitchen and it was fabulous.
The children involved were the sweetest, well-mannered group and you can tell they adore everyone in this family. Victoria and Ken reside in Fayetville so their gathering was a weekend of family time with her Dad travelling in from the middle east. Wow, I know ya’ll enjoyed this precious time and celebration of love. I so enjoyed being with you guys and photographing your vows. The absolute best to you!!!
