Blowing Rock, NC Wedding Photographer
I am enjoying this Spring weather and the warm up we have been blessed with over the last few weeks! Definitely a promise of pretty blooms and good things to come … including wedding season! Before we kick that off and I start blogging those, I want to show you Ruthanne and Daniel’s engagement session. I met up with these two love birds in Blowing Rock, NC to photograph them! That was the first time we had met in person since they live in Nashville and travelled into their home town for these. We hit it off very well and had lots of fun. It was cold but that didn’t stop the love, they just wanted to hug and cuddle even more I’d say. We started at a local park then ventured to the parkway.
Plus, the light! I love winter’s golden light coming through bare trees. If that is the only good thing I can say about Winter then I’ll take it :). I’m much more of a warm weather girl and these two will marry in July at the peak of all good things Summertime. We even climbed a snow bank during our session to get to one of our spots. Funny thing was we weren’t the only ones taking advantage of the clear, crisp day.
I can’t wait to photograph this couple’s wedding this Summer, when the temperature is warm with that just every so slight cool mountain air rolling in for the evening. They will be married at Grace Lutheran Church downtown Boone with their reception at Appalachian Ski Mountain. How fun, right? I can’t wait to photograph Ruthanne’s bridals there in May when everything is green and lush and it’s transformed from a ski slope to beautiful rolling grounds. Until then … much love and warmth this Spring and Happy Easter.
