Lyndsey and Alex were married at the end of the Summer in Morganton, NC at the Inn at Glen Alpine. Nestled in the quaint and picturesque town of Glen Alpine, just outside of Morganton, NC, the Inn is picture perfect. It’s beautiful porch and large trees are so welcoming and provided a great back drop to their wedding day. Plus, look at the room Lyndsey dressed in. It is divine. I think the moments before the wedding are my favorite because they hold so much anticipation. When that is paired with a beautiful dressing area with amazing light then it just makes my day!
Lyndsey is stunning! I am swooning over that lace dress with a perfect fit. Alex looked great as well in his gray suit and all of them accentuated in soft pink. I’m pretty sure from their expressions during their first look that they are both smitten. All of it came together beautifully. The flowers, the cake, those pretty blue shoes, the atmosphere and the guests.
Their wedding day was hot and steamy. Literally, because a down pour came just before they were set to walk down the aisle. It didn’t bother them though and they waited it out. It is good luck for rain on your wedding day. What better way to get that and have the rest of the celebration basked in perfect sun than a quick summer storm. The porch was the perfect spot for guests to mingle during that time and it was worth it. Their intimate ceremony under a large shad tree left some wet eyes as they read their vows that they wrote themselves. These two are high school sweet hearts and their union amongst their closest family and friends was so special. It was a pleasure to photograph your day!
Thanks immensely to Melissa Biggers for assisting in photographing this wedding!
