Jen and Robert (Felix) were married in October at the gorgeous Twickenham House in West Jefferson, NC. The day started cool and misty which gave the wedding a cozy and magical vibe. Situated atop a mountain, this house is luxurious and also a cozy wonderland at the same time. There are spectacular views from the cliffside up above the house and the entire area is secluded. With so much space in the main house and a guest house as well as a beautiful reception hall, this venue is one of a kind and perfect for a NC destination wedding. Their wedding day was truly amazing and went off without a hitch thanks to the awesome work by Elizabeth with Events by Elizabeth Ashley.
As guests arrived atop the mountain via shuttle, they were greeted with so many beautiful touches at the ceremony area and equipped with white umbrellas for the drizzle. The weather was not going to stop these two from getting married outdoors as planned. The flowers provided by Shady Grove Gardens accentuating the grapevine arbor were so pretty and brought out the Fall navy and orange color palette of the wedding day. Jen’s dress was amazingly gorgeous … all that hugging lace! She looked divine. Then her classic Jimmy Choo’s and Tiffany pearls, everything was just perfect.
The groom and groomsmen were also decked out in their navy suits and military uniforms. They had “party shirts” hidden under their attire. Aren’t those cool? They made their appearance at the reception as soon as the wedding party made their entrance.
Look at that first kiss, love it! There was a lot of love shared all evening. As Jen and Felix’s friends and families celebrated into the night they enjoyed awesome music by Emerald Empire Band and had quite a fun dance party! Meanwhile, it became cold and windy outdoors as hurricane winds moved across the state from the coast. That made for a freezing sparkler exit to top the night off with lots of laughs!
It was an absolute pleasure to capture your memories Jen and Felix. You family and friends were amazing! Much love for a long and happy life together. Elizabeth, you were awesome to work with and made the day a breeze.
Last but certainly not least, an enormous thank you to Erin Lutz for assisting in shooting this wedding. You make everything better!
