Colleen is such a beautiful bride! I am so excited to finally share her bridal session at Brown Mountain Beach Resort. We had a perfect sunny day for shooting creating gorgeous light. I am always a sucker for sunny back light. Plus, her dress and those pretty eyes.

If you saw my previous blog post of Colleen and Jacob’s wedding then you got a glimpse of all this venue has to offer. It is so pretty and has so many lovely spots. The beach and Wilson Creek make the perfect backdrop. Then there are those amazing windows indoors. We had a ball and got so many good shots. Colleen,s Mom was such a great help and shed a bit of tears just before we started shooting. Seeing your daughter in her dress is emotional.

Bridal portraits are a great opportunity to see the final look come together before the wedding day. The bride gets to see just how her make-up, hair, jewelry and vail will look with her dress on her special day. Its sort of like a dress rehearsal, literally. She gets to take her time and relax in front of the camera. All of that creates timeless portraits that really document this amazing season of life. As we all know too well, time marches on and the wedding day quickly approaches following these sessions. This is where the anticipation really begins to build toward the day that has been planned for many months. Then the rest is history!

As a photographer, I love this time as well. It’s fun and it puts the bride at ease in front of the lens. That continues to the wedding day and creates a trusting bond.
