I was so happy to hear from this good-looking couple in the Fall. This Mama emailed me and asked about doing a maternity session while they were visiting Blowing Rock. I photographed their engagement session there the Fall before last and it was gorgeous. These two are so down to earth and easy to photograph. They are such a pleasure to work with and I was super excited to hear they were expecting.

We met downtown and explored the area and caught up a bit. It was late Fall and our leaf color here in the mountains this year was less than usual. We still managed to find some here and there. Thankfully it was also pretty warm.We worked our way around town and into the park where we encountered a sketchy swan. They are pretty but they are mean. I think by that time I had walked us around enough and we had tons of great shots so we headed back to Meadowbrook Inn where they were staying. I wished them all the best and got all sentimental on how it goes by so fast.

Fast forward to January … this sweet little girl that they were expecting in these photos was born the day after my birthday . She is now almost 3 weeks old. A little Capricorn baby! Congratulations you guys. I know you are smitten. Enjoy all the moments and I hope you get some rest. It was an honor to photograph you again. I know we joked that you may visit the mountains again this year and do family photos with your sweet babe. It is so hard to believe how much they grow that first year. I do hope I get to meet her and see you all again! Thanks for asking me and entrusting me to capture your memories.
