This Summer, I had the opportunity to photograph this family just outside of Linville, NC at their amazing farm in Montezuma, NC. You may remember me posting a phone snap shot of the blue ridge mountain range on my way home. It was just a beautiful evening all around. It was an absolute treat to see that amazing view above the clouds lingering from an earlier storm on the parkway. It was also a treat to meet this sweet family at their gorgeous farm. The view and the wildflowers and property were absolutely amazing.

You know what was also awesome? This family! I did just meet them and work with them for only a few hours but I could tell they had a lot of LOVE going on. I could also tell they were unique spirits and fun loving. My kind of people all the way around.

We took the time to get everyone looking at the camera and then got tons of candids. They were totally into all the natural shots and that just fuels my photography passion like nothing else. It’s the way I photograph my own family but just a little more structured. To me, it’s the best capture. The capture that tells a family’s story just a bit from the lens. We capped it all off with a photo of all the kiddos and grandparents in front of the Thistledown sign which is the property’s name.

I feel super blessed to work with every family that makes their way in front of my lens. Ya’ll were awesome. Thank you for entrusting to me to capture your memories.
