Hi everyone! I hope you are staying well and healthy. I know the holiday season was different for everyone but none the less busy I’m sure. It was here as well. As usual, that puts me behind always posting some of the families I had the opportunity to capture. I always use the slow winter months to catch up with blogging, preparing taxes, website, marketing and planning updates for the next year. This year is no different. Despite many weddings being postponed or canceled and many families not making photos as high a priority, I was still shooting.
As always, I love seeing my regular clients every year as well as those new ones. This family has been in front of my lens so many times and I adore seeing them! For this session it was all about the kiddos. I met them at their house which is typical for them. It makes everyone relaxed and with 4 children I know that is important to parents. It also makes for all the natural photos where family and sibling dynamics play out. Those are my favorite! If you love them too, then we are one in the same on that front. I’ve said it so many times but it’s my foundation. It’s where my love of photography started. The love of photographing my own boys the way they are, doing what they do. I love it because it helps remember all the little things that they grow out of oh so fast.
For example, in this session their sweet boy loved his front loader and he was not giving it up, haha. His sole focus was digging in the dirt. The girls on the other hand were loving jumping, running and twirling and they also has some fun playing in the dirt at the end, haha. Don’t let them fool you in their pretty dresses! That’s what I love. I love that this family is comfortable and totally themselves at home!
More sessions to come soon!
