Today I am throwing it back to this past Fall when I photographed Kelsey and Brett’s engagement session in Boone, NC at Moses Cone Park. This is such a great place to do photos at any time of the year because there is so much variety with just a bit of walking distance between my go to spots. No wonder clients choose it so often out of the many options I suggest for sessions! I can’t wait to photograph Kelsey and Brett’s wedding next Fall at the gorgeous Summit on Cross Mountain! I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at this venue last Fall and it was stunning. So glad to be returning again this year for their wedding.

Engagement sessions are wonderful for me as a photographer as well as couples that have chosen me to document their special day. It allows us to spend some time together getting to know each other and becoming comfortable working together. I always enjoy them immensely. They are probably my favorite type of session. It is a great opportunity for us to warm up to each other and learn about guided posing and how we work best together as a team. Then, when the wedding day arrives everything just flows effortlessly.

Kelsey and Brett had amazingly warm weather for their engagement session for the late Fall. In the NC mountains you never know what that time of year will bring. It isn’t quite winter yet but there can still be bitter wind and cold. The leaves had all fallen by this time but we still had great golden color in some of the left over golden rod foliage. Overall we had a perfect day resulting in beautiful images of a sweet couple. I am excited to witness your wedding this year and am grateful that you chose me as your photographer.
