Boone Maternity Photographer

I am so excited to share this recent Maternity session that I photographed just outside of Boone, NC. I met this adorable couple early in the Spring and we ventured out to the base of the Grandfather Mountain Profile trail which they are lucky enough to live near. When I discovered that we were shooting here I was super excited. I have always wanted to hike this trail in its entirety but have not done so yet. As you can see from the foliage it was still very early Spring in the mountains of NC for this session. However, we climbed around in the creek to get these images and it was totally worth it. I wasn’t barefooted but this Mom to be was and she was a complete trooper at 37ish weeks pregnant.

Look how beautiful Mom is and I absolutely love her vibe in this jumper. Super cute and perfect for her sweet baby bump. I also can’t say enough about how gracious I am that Dad helped me make sure my camera was safe as I traversed this rocky creek! There were several awesome spots to work here as the sun set behind the mountains. From the small waterfalls of the creek to the rock outcroppings, the natural beauty surrounding the area was perfect.

I completely enjoyed meeting Mom and Dad and learning a bit about their unique lifestyle and adventures. Truly, I am so lucky to do this work and experience so many types of peoples from various backgrounds during their most memorable life moments. I am grateful to be able to capture these photos and be a part of their story by doing so. I wish these parents all the best!
