I met Katie and Patrick for their Grandfather Mountain engagement pictures recently. Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina has it all when it comes to an engagement session! With its breathtaking vistas, diverse wildlife, and rich natural beauty, it’s a prime spot for capturing those unforgettable moments. We had perfect breezy and sunny weather with expansive views from the mile high swinging bridge. Weather can be unpredictable at this elevation in the high country so make sure you are ready for an adventure if you choose Grandfather Mountain for your session. I promise it will be worth the adventure no matter though.

I absolutely love Katie’s beautiful flowy dresses and she and Patrick have the sweetest manner toward each other. The blue hue of the Appalachian mountains made the perfect late summer back drop for their session. With those big white fluffy clouds in the sky, I can’t decide if I like the color or dynamic black and white shots for some of these. With all of the greenery of late summer we had such lush opportunities for various spots on the rocky outcrops as well as wildflower grassy areas. I had a great time working with these two and wish them the biggest congratulations on their engagement.
