I am excited to show off this gorgeous wedding from the spring at Lovelace Creek in Hays, NC. This venue is situated in the NC Mountains and was the perfect backdrop for Justin and Danielle to share their vowels and celebration with their closest family and friends.
Justin and Danielle met in 2006, dated for a short time, and ended up going separate ways. Throughout the years Justin ALWAYS checked on Danielle periodically and would tell his friends she was the one that got away. Fast forward to 2018, the two reconnected at a friend’s child’s birthday party, picking up right where they left off. From there they built an amazing partnership and friendship. Danielle and Justin have 4 children together and they were all involved in their special day.
When I first spoke with Danielle for our consultation she told me about how Justin proposed. She had planned their family photos and Justin reached out to the photographer and planned the proposal at the same time. Their children were part of the plan! They asked her to turn around once the photos were done and each of them held a sign that composed the question “Will you marry us”? and Justin was beside them on one knee just as they were. What an awesome surprise and the images captured were gorgeous as you can see in their save the date photographed below!
Justin and Danielle’s wedding day was so pretty and everything just flowed easily. I love their choice of colors of lavender, plum and sage together and the flowers from Nature Flower Farm complimented everything so well. Danielle looked absolutely stunning in her fitted Contented dress by Vow’d Weddings detailed with lace ending in a long train. Her hair and make-up by Destiny Brees, A Brush with Destiny, perfected Danielle’s look and I know she took Justin’s breath away when he saw here coming down the aisle.
Justin and his groomsmen were stylin’ as well in their attire by The Black Tux. Who doesn’t love a guy and in a nice suit? Justin and his Mom were the sweetest and I loved seeing the couple’s gifts being exchanged. The wedding day was definitely HOT but was ultimately cooled off by a quick mountain shower at the reception. Perfect timing with everyone under the tents and all the “I do’s” already said. Speaking of reception, Yeti Entertainment kept the party going even through the storm. The cake by Lucky Button Bakery looked amazing and a saw a few kiddos indulging in seconds, haha.
I love how these families came together and all the love that was shown. The puzzle they assembled during the ceremony with their children was such a nice touch and amazing keepsake. Also unique was the cool star wars touch for guests to leave their well wishes. No detail was left out and everything was just perfect. I know Danielle was missing her Mom in heaven and grateful for her special friend to accompany her along with her father and step-mom on this special day.
This sweet couple is definitely surrounded by lots of love on both sides of the family and have created a loving family with their children. I wish you all a lifetime of happiness and I am grateful you chose me to capture your memories! I am sure your honeymoon in Italy was everything and I am glad I got to celebrate alongside you.
Thank you so much to Kayla Yelverton who assisted me in capturing this wedding. I could not work well without an awesome 2nd photographer and Kayla knocked it out of the park.
