I was so excited when I received an email from this couple about photographing their Maternity session in Banner Elk! These are past wedding clients of mine who were married at The Barn on New River. They had such a beautiful and FUN wedding, you can see those images here. It was an honor to capture their wedding and now document Katelyn as a glowing expecting Mom. We met at another river spot to take these photos back in the very early Spring which I found fitting.

Although fiercely cold temperatures graced us on this day, the sun was shining and warmed us up once we moved down river into the sun. They even got in the water for a few at the end. I know their feet were freezing but I love their images. I certainly have had some adventurous maternity sessions this year! I love that and absolutely thrive on gorgeous locations especially when they have meaning to my clients. I know this Mom and Dad are enjoying their sweet babe and settling into parenthood. I have no doubt they are rocking it and completely in love.

Katelyn looks amazing and actually gave birth just a week after their session. I love her and Will’s fun loving attitudes and zest for life. They will be fun loving and laid back parents I expect. I think that’s the best way to soak in all the joy that kids bring into our lives. It was so good to see you guys and as always I am grateful to do this work and follow clients as they journey through life together!
