Capturing a Fall Wedding at Piccione Vineyards

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful couple at Piccione Vineyards alongside an amazing team of vendors. This styled shoot was all that we could imagine coming to life. From a perfect loving couple, amazing venue, nice weather all the way down to gorgeous florals and decor. Nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s wine country, this venue offers sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, rows of lush grapevines, and a rustic yet elegant ambiance. It’s truly a dream location for any NC mountain wedding photographer.

Piccione Vineyards is nothing short of breathtaking. The rolling hills provide the perfect backdrop for a fall-inspired wedding. On this particular day, the light was soft and overcast with mild temperatures and those beautiful NC blue skies. This venue’s charm and ambiance will have you guessing if you are truly in the NC Mountains or Italy. Warm fall colored florals and the most beautiful faux fur wedding dress wrap accentuated the theme. The crisp mountain air and the vineyard’s natural beauty set the stage for a wonderful day.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the planner’s attention to detail. The decor embraced the richness of the season—tables adorned with deep burgundy linens, centerpieces overflowing amazing florals in the season’s color palette. The bride’s dress was absolutely stunning and she and her groom had the most loving and authentic connection providing the sweetest moments to photograph.

Capturing the Love Story

As an NC mountain wedding photographer, my goal is always to tell a couple’s unique love story through my lens. For this shoot, I wanted to highlight both the intimacy of their connection and the grandeur of the vineyard’s landscape.

We began with some time at their couple’s table allowing the couple to enjoy a wonderful Piccione Vineyards Rose. From the dancing to the ceremony, to the portraits, the emotions were real and heartfelt, and I felt honored to photograph this sweet couple. I am so glad they got to recreate a wedding day feeling and spend time together having fun PLUS getting great photo keepsakes.
