I wanted to share a few of the images from our recent trip to Disney World! It was so much fun and you really could see the magic in my boys’ eyes. Also … it was warm, we swam every day and had an awesome trip with beautiful weather. Our first morning was an early one since we had a date at Chef Mickey’s! I can not begin to express how excited the boys were to see the characters they love. They hugged and high-fived and Mike and I enjoyed watching it like big kids. Then we rode the monorail or bullet train as John Michael calls it over to Magic Kingdom. Seriously, this child would be happy if all he did was ride the bullet train. He thought it was awesome.
Little did he know what was in store! The first thing we hit was Tomorrowland and Toy Story Mania. I didn’t realize how pumped this was going to get John Michael and the next thing I know we were boarding Space Mountain. He got scared and didn’t like it but I was so proud of him for riding his first big roller coaster at 5 years old. He must have been too because then he wanted his face painted like who else but …. Zurg from the Toy Story ride. Who would have thought and he really thought he was a real super hero after that, jumping off ledges, etc. until he crashed. That’s how Disney does magic for a child!
That night when we went back for the fireworks more magic in their eyes was to be had! And in mine too and maybe a tear or two. Yes, that is how spectacular the light show was on Cinderella’s castle. Mostly, it was because I was so happy that we were able to bring our boys to this magical land! It is all about giving them what you never had.
That was just the first day of Magic that continued through the other parks. Here are some highlights …
