My first born Son turned 7 at the beginning of December. I know you are asking why I am just now posting pictures of him for his birthday on my blog. Well, it has been BUSY. His birthday runs us straight into Christmas with school parties and family gatherings and just having down time after the busy Fall wedding and portrait photography season. We also squeezed in a quick trip to Disney in January; and well with 3 kids things just get hectic and to do lists get long.
Not to mention the weather was rainy, a lot! I wanted some sun for his photos because even though he is a winter baby, I am always on the hunt for that beautiful light that only the cold months can give us with its soft glow and brown back drops. To find it this time we went to his school on a Sunday afternoon when it was finally warm. There would be no more procrastinating on this one. It was a little muddy in spots and surprisingly there were a few families enjoying the park and track so we had to work around some spots I had thought about using previously. Oh well!
Sometimes that makes for the best scenarios. Just going with it, unscripted and unplanned. I love capturing his natural mannerisms and he’s pretty handsome even if I am his Mom. He’s silly too with some crazy faces mixed in there and I love it. He is such a sweet boy and very loving and joyful. He loves building and legos, always does his best and works hard. I hope that he can always see the good in life and enjoy it! My big (but not too big yet) 7 year old!
