Brooke and Dustin were married in July in Wilkes, NC at Brooke’s family’s farm in Miller’s Creek. Their farm wedding was spectacular with décor that was the perfect mix of shabby chic and elegance. The crystal chandeliers and personal touches were drenched in character and sentiment. I enjoyed working with this couple and getting to know them leading up to their wedding day. It was hot, there were fireworks and the yellow, orange and green colors came together to make it just what you would imagine a Summer celebration being.
It was also special since this is the place that Brooke and Dustin will call home. Brooke dressed in the cutest yellow house on the side of the property opposite her parents. This is she and Dustin’s marriage home so how fitting that the day began there. Dustin and the guys waited in her parent’s home after their arrival until it was time for the bride and groom’s first look. After they saw each other for the first time, the couple read letters they had written to each other and shared some laughter, kisses and hugs. They were then wed in a ceremony by the stream that runs through the property.
The guests had fun late into the evening with light up hula hoops, tons of dancing, a nice surprise display of fireworks and great food and beverage! Best wishes for an amazing life together you two!
A special thank you to Erin Lutz for assisting in shooting this wedding!!!
