Mary Beth’s bridals at Brown Mountain Beach Resort remind me of old Hollywood glamour in the outdoors. Her gorgeous lace dress with that beautiful open back paired with red lips and a classic updo! What better location to take you back to that era as well. This resort is over 100 years old and restored with tons of history. The old rock structures combined with the open air building are just the perfect scenery. Not to mention Wilson’s Creek flowing by enticing you for a paddling trip down the gentle rapids or a go on the rope swing.
Thank you Mary Beth too for climbing that rock. I am so glad we both had the same vision in mind when we saw it because I love the result of the creek cutting through the valley in the background! You know what else I love?! The end of the session where we used that gorgeous window light filtering in through the old windows. That pretty much made my evening!!! Plus, we were able to incorporate a few dahlias which Mary Beth said were meaningful to her family. Then we had a bit more fun fooling around with some other shots all the way up to dusk. I will call that a wrap up of a good session.
Just a few weeks after we shot this bridal session Mary Beth and Matt were married at this same location on the beach. It is such a mix of rustic elegance with a touch of whimsy that just takes makes you feel relaxed and ready for some outdoor fun. I can’t wait to show you their wedding soon. Until then, take a look at these bridal images!
