MORETZ MILLS HICKORY, NC

Lindsey and Matt were married last month at Moretz Mills in Hickory, NC. Their wedding was a joy to photograph! These two are so easy.  That is truly the best word to describe them as I have gotten to know them through their consult, engagement session and working with them leading up to and at their wedding. They are just the type of people you feel comfortable around right from the outset. I love those types! Their friends and families welcomed us on the wedding day and we had lots of fun.

We started out photographing the guys and gals at different locations … ladies at the mill and gents at St. Andrews Lutheran church. We were threatened with a little rain but finished it all up just as it started to drizzle. Worked out perfectly! I know Melissa had a lot of fun photographing the guys as they goofed off and I was oohing and ahhing over the beautiful room I had for the ladies. Especially when we took advantage of that silver sofa at the Mill. This venue is gorgeous!

By the time the ceremony ended, the rain had cleared again and we were able to get some great portraits of the happy couple outside. I love this time during the wedding day. It’s just us and the bride and groom and it’s their time to snuggle and spend their first moments as a married couple before the fun of the reception begins. The food … ya’ll, so good. Amazing salad and pasta stations and a cheese and fruit table that was a literal work of art.

The band was awesome and everyone had a ton of fun dancing! Their party was pretty epic and culminated with a potato bar. That was a great idea and it looked fantastic. We all saw Lindsey and Matt off with congratulatory glow sticks! Beautiful wedding you two! Best wishes!
