I met this sweet family at the close of Summer at Moses Cone Manor in Blowing Rock, NC. I know I use this location a lot for portraits but it never disappoints and no two sessions are the same because there are so many pretty areas to use. I just want to officially put it out there too … that if anyone wants to hike here then I would LOVE to photograph you as we explore the fire tower trail. We hiked there this pas weekend after a wedding consult and it was so pretty. I was kicking myself for not bringing the big camera. Heck, I didn’t even have my cell phone on the trail. It is sometimes good to unplug though.

Back to the session at hand … isn’t this an absolutely beautiful family? When they contacted me they told me the motivation for these pictures was in honor of their Mom’s birthday. They were in town to celebrate and enjoy each other. I am so glad I got to capture these memories for you all. I love documenting the love grandparents have for their grandchildren, children and family LOVE in general. These kiddos were too cute too. We got many authentic moments of them and I am excited to share. The oldest boy was a total ham and I LOVED it. So stinkin’ precious. And this sweet baby, only 4 months old, such big smiles for his Mommy’s singing “Take me out to the ballgame”. Then the little girl, she was so busy running. Dad was such a great sport swinging her into place to capture that pretty face! We also got her to slow down with some snacks which totally did the trick.
