Banner Elk, NC Wedding Photographer | Taylor House Inn | Valle Crucis, NC Weddings
In October I had the opportunity to capture Catalina and Travis’s elopement at the Taylor House Inn in Valle Crucis, just outside of Banner Elk, NC. I love elopements and am always honored to be a part of them. It is very humbling to be a part of such and intimate ceremony and tell a couple’s story through the lens when it is just you and them. Catalina looked beautiful in her adorable short gown and Travis very handsome in his vest and casual jeans. Perfect fit for the location and their personalities.
The Taylor House Inn was so accommodating and even had a wedding cake ready for the newly hitched couple. When I arrived Catalina was getting made up and I loved photographing that and her details. She and Travis read letters to each other before she started the descent down the stairs for the inn for their first look. Then it was ceremony time. The pastor performed such a sweet ceremony and the hand washing detail during it was so special.
Once all the certificates were signed and it was official we headed over to Valle Crucis Park but not before making a side trip to a nearby church. Catalina had spotted this beautiful old white chapel down a dirt road in the area. Once we got a few shots there we took advantage of the mountains and the river at the park. This place is the best place ever for creek playing and I knew it would be awesome for photos. Catalina had warned me that Travis was a little camera shy but I think he did amazing. When you just got married and are as happy as can be there isn’t much more needed to capture beautiful moments. I loved working with you both and had a great time. Most importantly, I am honored that I was able to be a part of your ceremony and spend some time documenting these memories. Wishing you the most amazing life together!
