It’s the off season as far as photography goes. That means there is a lot of blogging to catch up on as well as personal projects and behind the scenes business planning. Boring old things like taxes and website updates. However, this is NOT boring and today I decided it was finally time to get these images of my sweet boy on the blog. Levi is my middle son. He is 7. As you may know, I photograph my boys each year and blog them with a bit of background about their personalities and what they are into at this time in their lives.

I’m here to confess a Mom fail on this one. Levi has not had his annual photos blogged since he was 5! Ya’ll, that is so bad. You see though, my Mom died in October 2015 and that entire year after that I had no energy in grief to devote to personal projects. I was just surviving one day at a time and keeping up. Then this year it got busy, FAST! Levi is a May baby and that is exactly when things pick up big time for me. I need to definitely photography him in April or something this year. I did finally get these done at the end of the busy Fall season this year. So now friends I am bumping up Levi as a 7 year old to the top of my blog pile. I promise I will keep catching up on all the pretty from the Fall soon but today it is all about Levi.

Levi is so sweet and loving. He’s my cuddle bug that’s for sure. Often finding me on the sofa or in the bed for some loving close time. He’s a Taurus though (so was my Mom and she was enamored with him) so that means he can get mad and stubborn quickly. If he has decided he isn’t into doing something then you might as well give up. I think that streak can be seen in some of the faces he gives me in these photos. He’s growing up so fast and we love him with all of our hearts of course. Just last year he was missing his two front teeth (documented in our Christmas card) and so much more child like. He still is don’t get me wrong but he has matured a lot. He argues with his baby brother but also plays alongside him. He looks up to his older brother with everything he has. He loves one on one time with his Daddy and is extremely intelligent. This child’s reading ability is unreal and he has a great emotional intelligence that takes me off guard at times.

He loves legos and has just started building really large kits this year. He likes game night but can quickly get annoyed and quit a game. He loves to be outdoors and active. He still loves to play construction in the dirt and on the swing playhouse. All the boys do. He also likes to dress up and head out for hikes or pretend hunting. If Levi is doing it and can come up with an outfit to go along with it then you better believe he will be decked out. I am sad that this past year he stopped wearing his cowboy outfit to Tweetsie, one of our favorite places. He loves dogs and likes to give ours a lot of attention. He also loves his stuffed animals. He took Dog EX and Puppy with us for his pictures but there is a fond love for Coyote and Big Dog. Levi loves being silly and getting others to laugh. He made some crazy faces for me towards the end. He is also sensitive and seeks acceptance. I love this child with everything I have and I pray for all the love for him and happiness in life. Here’s to 7 years. Gone by too fast!
