Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement Photographer

When your goal is to be a Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement Photographer full  of adventure. You head to the top of Beacon Heights at sunrise. This is Jordan and Dylan. Aren’t they just the cutest couple? This lovely couple is Jordan and Dylan. I am beyond excited to photograph their wedding in a few weeks at 16 Hands Farm in West Jefferson, NC. First things first though … look at their adorable engagement session! We started off at Beacon Heights on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I met them at sun up. Basically, we hiked the short trail to the top in total darkness with flashlights. That was an adventure I won’t forget!

The session …

It was so, so, so worth it getting up early. In my lifetime, I don’t think I would ever get up at sunrise. Then drive to this overlook. Unless it was for a photo shoot. I am so glad we did. Taking in all that breathtaking scenery was incredible. Jordan and Dylan look amazing. Plus, it was the absolute peak of the fall leaves. Additionally, all those clouds clearing off the mountain peaks. Rain poured the night before but the weather report promised us it would be clear in the morning. I was worried a bit as I went to bed that evening. No lie, I thought how can it clear up so fast. It did and it was also truly incredible.

Once we finished at the top we made the drive down 221 to Bass Lake for some more photos. Again, the color along the way was breathtaking! This entire session was a true treat. Bass Lake was VERY freezing at Bass Lake as it can be so we walked the loop and shot efficiently while Jordan and Dylan wrapped up in between. Jordan’s Dad met us there with their cute pup and we managed to get a shot of her beautiful ring on his nose. That is my second successful attempt at that with a dog, haha. So fun!

In just a week or so I get to see Jordan in her wedding gown for her bridals. I am so excited and will share those as well as their wedding in the coming month or so. I can’t wait until wedding day. These two are the cutest and such happy spirits. Despite the cold they had such big grins the entire session. All that love can be felt in the images. Until the bridal and wedding, their gorgeous engagement session!
